I am learning how to sail during this trip. Preparing myself to be able to undertake an 8000km journey from Chester, Nova Scotia to Natal, Brazil in November.

Sometime around the beginning of November, Carlos and I are sailing from Nova Scotia to Natal, Brazil (some 7000km journey). We're crossing the Atlantic Ocean on a 30 foot yacht (Alberg 30). We plan to sail out to about 500 km off the coast of Cape Verde (West Africa) before turning West and setting sail to Natal.

Average estimated speed: 5 knots (about 10km/hr)
